It is Done

Well, I defended my thesis this morning and other than showing up a little late due to a major lack of parking, the presentation went well and now I just need to get it submitted to the department, college and library and I'll be officially done! It's been a long time in coming but it feels good to be done. I'm sure Jennifer is happiest of all!

New Opportunities

As many of you know, I was recently let go from Aradyme. I just accepted an offer today from another small company called footnote. They recently launched their consumer facing website http://footnote.com . They were previously known as iArchives and were a business services company. I start on Wednesday and am excited to contribute to their team. It will be a little bit of an adjustment after a week and a half of being home with Jennifer and the kids... like a little vacation but with the stress of trying to find a new job and not knowing how long it will be!

First Week of 2007

Closer and Closer to Defense

I got approval from Dr. Goodrich yesterday on my thesis (with some minor edits that he'd like me to make... but he doesn't want to see it again which is basically approval). This means that I'll be scheduling my defense for the end of January assuming that I can get my three committee members to agree on a date and time (which based on talking to my committee members should be a lot easier than it has been for other people I know).

Anyway, I'll let everybody know when it's scheduled!
